Torbel® 10 mg
International Nonproprietary Name: Torasemide
Torbel® 10 mg is a loop diuretic with enhanced action. It is a modern analogue of furosemide with an improved efficacy profile.
How it works:
• Enhances fluid excretion — blocks the reabsorption of sodium and chloride ions in the kidneys.
• Lowers blood pressure — reduces circulating blood volume.
• Reduces edema — promotes the removal of excess fluid from tissues.
• Preserves potassium — has a lesser effect on electrolyte balance compared to furosemide.
When to use:
• Edema in chronic heart failure (NYHA class II-III)
• Arterial hypertension (as part of combination therapy)
• Renal edema in nephrotic syndrome
• Hepatic edema and ascites in liver cirrhosis
Important:
• Take in the morning to prevent nighttime diuresis.
• Do not use during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Provides a pronounced and prolonged diuretic effect while helping maintain electrolyte balance.
